Kings Langley Community Choir is born from a simple desire to sing with other people.
The community choir is open to everyone regardless of ability and experience so come along and enjoy the fun.
The Choir was formed by Verity Standen who in the short time the
choir has been together has given those who have joined a great sense of having fun with music.
The success enjoyed by the choir since it began back in September 2008 is because of a number of things for example there is no audition (a process employed by some choirs that has the effect of excluding the timid). Additionally, there is no need to be able to read music. Especially important is the fact that we are open to anyone and everyone - so the only thing you need bring along is a bit of enthusiasm. The rehearsals are light hearted and are always enjoyable, but they are put together to stretch and test the abilities of choir members.
Our repertoire is now growing covering blues jazz, gospel to African folk songs, popular music, folk and the odd Armenian folk song (thanks Verity!) so there is something for everyone.
So come along and see what you think - the choir practices every Tuesday at 7:30 pm until 9:00 pm in the main Music Facility at Kings Langley School just off Love Lane Kings Langley.
